As part of today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Square Enix presented another look at its upcoming 3D platformer from the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog, Balan Wonderworld. Though some of what we saw may be familiar from the announcement trailer, we do learn some new info and see some new theatrical possibilities.

For one, it’s mentioned the game will feature twelve themed worlds total, where you’ll be able to change into over 80 costumes offering unique abilities. We also get to see the game’s co-op multiplayer in action, where you’ll be able to pass a Joy-Con to a second player to use your abilities together. Most pressingly though, we learn when the curtain will rise on this new performance. Balan Wonderworld will arrive on Switch and other platforms (including next gen) on March 26th, 2021.
