The upcoming Nintendo Switch release of Supergiant Games’ Hades will no longer include cross-save functionality with its Steam version at launch.

Supergiant Games announced the news via tweet, stating that “setbacks in the final testing” of the feature caused the delay; however, instead of pushing back the launch of the game, Supergiant Games will instead introduce cross-saves in an update “later this year.”

Supergiant Games announced Hades’ cross-save functionality when it revealed the game was coming to Switch last month.

Hades is currently available on PC via Steam Early Access and the cross-save feature will allow those that played on PC to transfer their progress to the Switch version.

No solid release date has been given for Hades on Nintendo Switch yet, but Supergiant Games expects to launch the game this fall.
