Taiko no Tatsujin has finally made a name for itself in the wake of the Switch’s Drum ‘n Fun and PS4’s Drum Session. Now, Bandai Namco is reaching into the backlog to bring two very unique entries in the series to Switch.

Rhythm Adventure Pack will bundle two previously unlocalized 3DS games together – the first being Don & Katsu’s Space Time Adventure and the second being Mystery Adventure. Rather than being purely rhythm games, these ones have an adventure mode, too, where you build up an RPG party of monsters and beat up enemies.

Over 130 songs are to be included, with one of the new additions being “Gurenge” from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. It’s worth noting that the second game included appearances by Kirby and Phoenix Wright alongside music from their games, so here’s hoping they make the cut this time around, too.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack will launch for Switch this winter.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
