It’s been a long, wild ride, but Risk of Rain 2 is finally out of Early Access! The official 1.0 Launch Update is available right now on Steam, bringing with it the game’s 10th playable character (The Captain), a new stage, new items, and more.
If this is your first time hearing about the game and you’re a fan of action-packed roguelikes, I personally can’t recommend the game enough. In fact, we here at Nintendo Wire praised it quite highly, dubbing it a multiplayer cooperative experience that’s difficult to put down thanks to its addictive gameplay loop and beautifully atmospheric soundtrack.
There’s no official word on when exactly we can expect the update to land on the Nintendo Switch. In the meantime, we at least have these two snazzy looking trailers to keep us cozy.
