Today marks the Nintendo Switch release of Banner of the Maid, the Chinese-made French Revolution strategy RPG with an anime aesthetic and fantasy elements. It’s quite a blend of elements, but it’s led to an audience on PC already. Now it marches to consoles today:

Banner of the Maid puts you in command as Pauline Bonaparte, sister of famed general Napoleon, navigating both battlefields and politics in Paris. Anyone a fan of a little historical fiction in your games or fans of grid-based tactics can pick the game up from the eShop (or on PlayStation 4) for $16.99.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
