Sega has a hell of a stable of characters, ranging from Sonic the Hedgehog to the Dragon of Dojima. Somewhere closer to the latter though was a young kid whose courage got recognized by roosters, and set out to bring (good) morning back to the world. Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg may’ve been a one off for the company, but that GameCube title managed to make an impression, at least enough that Billy has rolled his way into various crossovers.

If you want to dig up some memories or just get a taste of Sega circa 2003, the company has uploaded the Japanese soundtrack of the game to streaming services. You can listen to the aptly titled Music Popped out of the Egg Billy Hatcher soundtrack on your platform of choice now.
