Get ready, Trainers: The ruleset and reward details for the August Season of Pokémon Sword and Shield Ranked Battles are here! Just like July’s battles, this month is all about celebrating the new Pokes from the Isle of Armor. All Pokémon native to Galar are permitted, excluding most Legendaries and Mythicals. Here’s a snippet from the official rules for this month:
“Pokémon in either the Galar Region Pokédex or the Isle of Armor Pokédex that are caught, hatched from Eggs, or received as an official Mystery Gift are eligible for Ranked Battles, except for Mythical Pokémon and most Legendary Pokémon (Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion are permitted). Competitors will be permitted to use all known Pokémon with the Gigantamax Factor, including Venusaur, Blastoise, Rillaboom, Cinderace, Inteleon, and Urshifu. Pokémon of permitted species with the battle-ready symbol may also be used in Ranked Battles.”
The rewards for this month range from a single Ability Capsule, Armorite Ore and 50BP in the Poké Ball ranking tier, all the way up to three Golden Bottle Caps, 30 Armorite Ore and 600 Battle Points in the Master Ball ranking tier!
