Nintendo’s Japanese social media accounts have begun posting short videos showcasing real-life origami papercrafts of characters from Paper Mario: The Origami King. Of note, and the subject of today’s article, are the Paper Toads that can be folded exactly the way the hidden Toads are in-game.

This is both an incredibly impressive attention to detail by the developers, and a horrifying reality. If the Toads are easily folded and hidden anywhere, they could be folded up anywhere and we would never know! Are they under the fridge? In the cracks of the sidewalk? Stuffed down the bathroom sink drain? Between the pages of your dream journal? Are you an origami Toad folded to look like a person?! I need to go lie down… I’m having flashbacks to the ‘everything is cake’ situation from a couple of weeks ago.

You can enjoy three full-length videos of real-life Paper Toads being folded into easily hide-able shapes below.
