While Koei Tecmo’s Atelier series has seen regular releases since it began way back in 1997 on the PlayStation, only a handful of its games have proven to be big financial successes. Last year’s Atelier Ryza is one of them, selling 420,000 copies as of March, 2020, securing its position as the best selling game in the franchise.

It looks like Koei Tecmo will be taking advantage of that success, too, with a direct successor to the game. The news comes via Australia’s ever-leaky ratings board, which gives “Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy” a PG rating.

The game is also listed as being multi-platform, which is a good sign that the series will continue to head to Switch day-and-date with other systems.
