It’s been a hundred years since Calamity Ganon appeared and wreaked havoc on Hyrule — oh, wait. Wrong timeline! Here in 2020, it has been over three years since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch. With any popular Nintendo game release, merchandise featuring the main cast of characters is usually released.

Initially revealed and released in 2017, Sanei Co. used its licensing agreement to produce plushies of Link, the Sheikah Slate, and a Bokoblin from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The collection was well-received and had fans asking if Princess Zelda would be next on the production line. Almost three years later, here we are today with a tweet from Sanei Co. announcing the fabled princess’ release date.

The Princess Zelda plush will be on store shelves in Japan starting in mid-November of this year and is priced at ¥2,500 (about $23.30 as of this posting). Thankfully, Sanei Co.’s plushies tend to appear online at various retailers before making appearances at Nintendo NY or at any anime/gaming convention’s exhibit hall.

Currently, there’s a placeholder page for the plush on Play-Asia’s site and states that “[p]re-orders opening soon.” We’ll report on our @WireDeals Twitter account when Play-Asia opens up pre-orders. After that, you’ll have to wait ’til late November/early December to have Princess Zelda join your plush collection, sitting next to Link.
