Anime Expo’s The World Ends With You – The Animation panel just wrapped up and we got our first good look at the anime adaptation, which is set to launch worldwide in 2021.
During the panel we learned that it will be a 3D CG anime, though you might have a hard time noticing, and that the timeline has shifted from 2007 to the modern day, with flip phones making way for smartphones.

It was also confirmed that The World Ends With You – Final Remix – will be on sale via the Nintendo Switch eShop in celebration of the announcement.
