What do you get when you combine Asteroids, Galaga, and EDM-version of Tron? You get a #FUNTIME, that’s what.

Ok, maybe my equation is a bit off compared to The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild’s formula. Their upcoming game, #FUNTIME, is a mash-up of Geometry Wars and Smash TV with an extra helping of neon (according to their latest press release.)

“#Funtime is an explosive twin-stick shooter where shooting isn’t your only weapon. #Funtime combines traditional twin-stick shooting with a unique coloring mechanic. Earn bonus points by coloring the playing field and exploding enemies that cross your path. Persistent ship upgrades allow for lengthier runs filled with even more mayhem. Fast and fun gameplay will have you coming back again and again.

#Funtime has 50 levels that include treacherous mazes players must escape, color-match attack and defense mechanics, and even a wrecking ball flail you can whip around the arena to deal devastating damage across the stage!”

If you’re looking for a #FUNTIME, you won’t have to wait long. The shooter will be landing on Nintendo Switch on Thursday, July 16th for $14.99 via the Nintendo eShop.
