The 14th Maximus Cup is on its way to Tetris 99, and this time around it’s celebrating the RPG renewal that is Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. This’ll bring a new theme, featuring a Monado based playing field and Gaur Plains background, as well as Shulk himself. The real get here, though, is the music.
This includes the songs ‘Time to Fight!’, ‘Mechanical Rhythm’, and ‘You Will Know Our Names’ in all their battle theme glory. As is the case with the other special themes, the songs will change as the Tetris match goes on, meaning if you want to hear them all you better stay sharp and put your puzzle skills to the test.
The Tetris 99 Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition event will begin on July 3rd, with anyone who manages to earn 100 points before it ends on July 6th getting to keep the theme.
