During last week’s Pokémon Presents (the one that didn’t get fans in an uproar), it was announced a special event/distribution was coming to Pokémon Sword & Shield. By challenging the mythical Zeraora to Max Raid Battles, players could earn themselves a Shiny once the global wins reached one million. Happy to say, that goal has been met!
You did it, Trainers! Over a million of you have defeated Zeraora in #PokemonSwordShield! A shiny Zeraora will be arriving to all Trainers in #PokemonHOME on June 29!
But don’t stop now—greater rewards await if more Trainers come out victorious in this Max Raid Battle! pic.twitter.com/xmxjz59SSw

Earlier today, it was announced the total has reached 1,453,283 and thus the Shiny Zeraora will be given out via Pokémon Home on June 29th. (Three of those were mine, so, you’re welcome.) Based on the previous distribution of Hidden Ability Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble, it’s likely players will have to have transferred a Pokémon from Sword or Shield into their Home account to receive their Shiny Zeraora once the distribution period begins.
Don’t stop now though — “greater rewards” await as that global total climbs higher. No word on what that could be, but look forward to it sometime after June 29th.
