One of the first segments of today’s New Game+ Expo came courtesy of Suda51. With no Nintendo Direct in sight, many were hoping to get a look at No More Heroes 3 instead. We did indeed get it, but maybe not in the way you would expect.

The segment, timestamped at 1:11 above, begins with Suda51 delivering both a sincere introduction to the showcase and thoughts on games in general, especially with staying indoors working on his backlog. As he did though, the background shifted to show No More Heroes 3 in action, with no comment or description at all. Just a man discussing his thoughts and habits on games.

The only game he even name-dropped was Super Mario Odyssey, and that was in the context of not having beaten it. It was a very unconventional move, and thus a very Suda51 move. Hopefully more details come soon for No More Heroes 3, still set to release sometime in 2020.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
