Everything changed when ALF crashed the Summer Game Fest…
Okay, that’s not the intro I remember for Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra, but 2020 is changing it up. Announced during Summer Game Fest, Smite’s next crossover event is about the world of ATLA. Aang, Zuko, and Korra (with her polar bear dog Naga) are entering Smite and are ready to save the world… again.
“All three characters will be available as skins in the all-new Avatar Battle Pass. The Master Wizard Merlin will become Aang, bending water, earth, fire and air in a true show of Avatar power. Zuko will wield his sword – and bend fire – as Susano. And Korra will enter the Battleground of the Gods alongside pet polar bear dog Naga as Skadi.”
There’s more than just skins of Aang, Zuko, and Korra. The Avatar Battle Pass has more goodies, including more familiar faces from the ATLA universe joining in via different roles:
“The Avatar Battle Pass has even more content for dedicated fans of the series, including an Appa ward skin and a global emote honoring unlucky cabbage vendors. Plus, this Battle Pass will include bonus prestige skins featuring Aang and Korra in their Avatar states, and Zuko disguised as The Blue Spirit.”
The development team behind Smite are also huge fans of the series and aren’t shy about tweeting out previews of these extras, too! They’ve confirmed that Janet Varney will be back to reprise her role as Korra, whereas sound-alike voice actors were cast for Aang and Zuko.
