Dreams do come true! Twenty years after the launch of the Nintendo 64 original, the Pokémon Company has announced that a sequel to Pokémon Snap is officially in the works for the Nintendo Switch!

Simply called “New Pokémon Snap”, players will once again strap into the yellow, off-road buggy, the Zero-One, and snap pictures of Pokémon in their natural habitats. Based on what we can see in the trailer, Pokémon from all regions will be included in this title, with loads of entertaining interactions to document. Like the N64 original, several habitats are on display including beaches, jungles, and plains! It also appears that Todd, the Poké-Paparazzo from the first installment, has been replaced with a generic looking trainer-dude.

If I had to guess, you’ll probably be able to import your trainer avatar from Sword and Shield into this game, but that’s just a little speculation.

Another interesting tidbit to report is that Bandai Namco appears to be taking the development reigns on this title — HAL Laboratories made the first installment.

No word yet on pricing or a release window, but check out the press release below for even more info!
