The Nintendo Brand Ambassador Program — an exclusive club that’s had content creators, social media influencers, and lifestyle vloggers/bloggers cover Nintendo-related topics and receive various perks — is appearing to be shutting down. Wood Hawker (of BeatEmUps and guest on The Game Chasers) first publicly tweeted that he was dropped from the program due to its end. He went on further to speculate about a new program taking its place and followed that up by answering questions posed by fans and curious minds.
Sadly, Nintendo contacted me today to say their Nintendo Ambassador Program is coming to an end and they would not be continuing my membership.
It feels really weird to not be on their program as I joined them 5 years ago. Nintendo and my channel have been synonymous since 2013.

To clarify, this won't affect my channel or my content in any way shape or form. I have adored Nintendo from my earliest memory in life and will continue to replay my favorite games from NES to Switch and beyond until my last🙂

To answer some questions:
– No, it's not just me. Others received the exact same email, but not everyone. (yet?)
– No, it's not because of my last video lol
– Yes, I am becoming a full-time Fortnite Channel instead.

To answer questions like this:
As I said, no, literally nothing will change for me. In the last year Nintendo sent me two review codes. Dragon Quest 11s and Minecraft Dungeons. Both of which I bought physically for myself and gave away the codes.
I'm good! ❤ https://t.co/h5M4aQOJTe

Other Nintendo-centric news outlets that have reported this story have also reached out to various brand ambassadors who have confirmed the changes, but have done so anonymously. Emails are still rolling out for all members and Nintendo has yet to issue any statements about the change.
