We’ve got yet another musical treat to share today, this time courtesy of Yoko Shimomura, a composer renowned in video games, having scored the Kingdom Hearts series, Super Mario RPG, the Mario & Luigi games, multiple tracks in Xenoblade Chronicles, and many more. Recently she’s uploaded a few piano performances from another legendary soundtrack – that of Street Fighter II.

The two arrangements are for Vega’s Stage (based on her version heard in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, though now as a piano duet) and the ever present Guile’s Stage. Vega’s in this case is performed by Shimomura-san herself in both parts, while Guile’s is an arrangement from and performed by Duke of Pianeet.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
