Last night we learned Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming to Tetris 99, with a special theme planned for this weekend’s Maximus Cup event. Now Nintendo UK has given us an early look at the theme in action, including the multiple music tracks that’ll feature:
The Tetriminos themselves are probably my favorite part, coming in a brighter color and with cute Animal Crossing icons. You’ll also spot plenty of villagers and characters in the background, with three different variants of hourly music playing as the competition heats up in a Tetris match. They might not be the tensest tracks, but then again Animal Crossing isn’t the tensest of games.
The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Tetris 99 event will begin May 15th and run through this weekend.
