Goku is about as iconic a character as one can be when it comes to manga and anime, and Dragon Ball FighterZ has continuously provided new takes on the character to reflect his varied power levels and skill sets over the years. The latest of these is Ultra Instinct Goku, introduced in Dragon Ball Super, where the Saiyan stops thinking entirely and is in harmony with himself.

If you include fusions, this is the eighth version of Goku to join Dragon Ball FighterZ, though to Arc System Works’ credit they’ve managed to make the lot of them distinct from each other as playable characters. For reference, that’s how many Fire Emblem characters are in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

With three more characters to come, who knows if that number will climb over nine, but for now you can download Ultra Instinct Goku on May 22nd, with those who’ve purchased FighterZ Pass 3 getting him a couple days early.
