The new tools in Animal Crossing: New Horizons have led to some truly incredible and creative themed islands. The one many people are talking about today was made by a Japanese Pokémon fan (@hinopika) who recreated several routes and towns from Pokémon Gold/Silver.

The island uses various custom patterns placed on the ground to replicate the basic sprites of the early Pokémon games in an impressive way. They also use designs placed on easels to give a bit of a three-dimensional look to certain objects. It even has red Gyrados!

There are recreations of Goldenrod City, Route 31, National Park, and the Lake of Rage. The player also has an adorable Cyndaquil outfit.

Be sure to check it out. It might just give you inspiration for some more retro-themed Animal Crossing ideas!
