Welcome to Shelmerston, a tiny idyllic island full of charming citizens — alive and dead. This is the setting of I Am Dead, a new game announced during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase. Made by the creators of Hohokum and Wilmot’s Warehouse, this puzzle adventure is tiptoeing the line between life and death.

You play as Morris Lupton, the former museum curator of Shelmerston. Now a ghost, Mr. Lupton is still on the island for some reason. Add in the ability to explore the island freely, by looking into objects and people’s memories, he figures there has to be a reason for this power. It turns out that Shelmerston is in danger of disaster, and Mr. Lupton will have to prevent this total destruction. Aided by his ghost dog Sparky and snooping abilities, this adventure between life and death is one that Mr. Lupton won’t ever forget.

I Am Dead is a timed Nintendo Switch exclusive that will be released in 2020.
