February 27th, also known as Pokémon Day, holds a special place in Pokémon fans’ hearts. It is, after all, a pretty significant day in history, and The Pokémon Company over the past few years has done a noteworthy job of making sure that this holiday (and yes it does count as a holiday) has good things in store for us.

This year, it’s no different.

We previously reported that Netflix had announced that the remake of the original Pokémon movie — Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution — would be coming to its platform exclusively for regions outside of Japan, but if you missed the memo before, we’re here to tell you that it’s landing on the platform tomorrow!

To celebrate Pokémon Day this year, The Pokémon Company has decided that February 27th is the perfect day to release the Mewtwo Strikes Back remake, and honestly, they’re not wrong. There’s no definitive time tomorrow that’s been announced for the drop, but I’m more than willing to bet you’ll find the film just around midnight.

And, don’t forget that Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution is framed as a Netflix original film outside of Japan, which means it’s likely not going anywhere, anytime soon.
