Update: Netflix has announced that Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution will premiere through the streaming service on February 27th. Just a little over a month to go until we can all tune in!

Pokémon has a habit of finding its way to Netflix. There you can currently find episodes of both the oldest and most recent seasons of the show, both the I Choose You! and The Power of Us movies, and even a minute-long rendition of “Happy Birthday” set to clips from the X & Y season. (No, seriously, it’s there.) Coming soon, though, is a blend of old and new:

Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution is a CG remake of the first Pokemon movie, bringing back familiar characters and Pokémon alike from the Indigo season. While you could argue if a remake like this was necessary, this might be a perfect nostalgia trip for older fans and a way to meet Brock and Misty for younger ones.

No date has been given, but Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution will be on Netflix soon.
