Those at The Behemoth have been delighting players with their games for over 16 years now, and it looks like for their next and newest they’re returning to where it all began with Alien Hominid Invasion.

While stated to be “a new reimagination” of Alien Hominid HD, its gameplay and progression are all being reworked and will be drastically different from that release. Players will also find new, unique weapons and character customization options, as well as non-linear levels to explore in the co-op arcade shooter.

There’s no target release window given at this time, but the game will be playable in some form at PAX East and EGX Rezzed. While the Nintendo Switch hasn’t been mentioned specifically, we do know that the game will be coming to consoles and PC. With Castle Crashers Remastered having graced the system previously, we’ve got our fingers crossed.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
