One of the most anticipated additions to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster, Batman’s best friend The Joker, has finally been fully revealed.
A trailer posted to the MK11 Twitter showcases the Oscar-nominated clown’s attacks, which are surprisingly different from his moveset in Injustice 2. This time around, he has way more wacky gadgets, like boxing gloves on springs, Jack-in-the-boxes, and a Batman doll with a gun in it. He also straight-up uses dudes as weapons. I’m much more interested in his moves here than in Injustice 2.
His Fatal Blow attack features stabbing, a bit of “let’s put a smile on that face,” and ends with what we like to call The Ol’ Jason Todd. His Fatality features a fun callback to the Friendship mechanic from previous games (which I wish they would bring back).
Also revealed in the trailer are a batch of skins for other characters. There will be a Batman Who Laughs skin for Noob Saibot, a Killer Croc skin for Baraka, Catwoman for Kitana, and an Apokolips skin for Geras.
The Joker and the skins will be available to Season Pass holders on January 28th.
