As the weekend approaches, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate readies for another Spirit Event. While the event itself is pretty rote — the theme is the game’s many, many sword wielding spirits — the trademark hidden at the bottom of the “Details” page in-game has an intriguing addition.
Unlike last week’s Tetris 99 Spirit Event, the SNK Corporation copyright has been added to the ever-growing list of copyright holders. This is significant as Nintendo only needs to include said copyright once the relevant characters are added to the game, suggesting that Terry could land as early as this Friday.

That said, there’s always the chance it’s just a standard procedure for the month of November, which is when Terry was always planned to arrive.
As always we’ll be sure to bring you the latest as and when the martial artist makes his Smashing debut.
