Update: It appears as though rewards are getting sent out to players who participated in Tetris 99’s 7th Maximus Cup that featured the Super Kirby Clash theme near the end of September. If you’re one of those people who earned 100 points in the Cup, you’ll want to head to your email’s inbox to claim your 99 Gem Apples!
We’ve just gotten word now that the Apples have been given to some of the participants. If you don’t yet see the reward in your inbox, chances are it’ll make its way there soon.

Kirby’s no stranger to puzzles, what with a history of Star Stacking and Ghost Trapping, but now he’s making his way to the most famous of them all. Tetris 99’s next Maximus Cup event has been announced, and for the seventh round of competition and to pair with the launch of Super Kirby Clash it’ll be themed to Dream Land days with its look, sounds, and music.

Just like past cups, by earning 100 points during the event will earn you the otherwise exclusive theme. It’s the cutest one yet and will match up nicely with the growing library of Nintendo collabs in the game. There’s even an extra incentive if you’re into Super Kirby Clash, as meeting that threshold will also earn you 99 Gem Apples for that game. Check the theme out for yourself below:
