The world could always use more heroes, and when it comes to Nintendo you could argue there’s no better hero than Hyrule’s. That’s what some talented fans thought, as they created a concept design and even highlight intros for Link if he made it into Overwatch’s still growing cast.
It’s a great mesh of the legendary design of the character and elements of Overwatch’s world and aesthetic. You can get a fuller view of it via some concept uploads.
Again, this is just a(n excellent) fan made concept but one that looks like it could work and work well. The idea of a console exclusive character isn’t new by any stretch, as Link himself will remind you when it came to Soul Calibur II on GameCube. Whether Nintendo and Blizzard could work together on something like this remains to be seen, but til then fans can keep on dreaming.
