Inti Creates’ Gunvolt titles have brought fast-paced 2D action to 3DS, Switch, and other platforms — and now a new chapter in that world is nearly upon us. Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX is releasing later this month, putting series rival Copen in the lead role. A new trailer has just released, detailing his gameplay and introducing both his allies and enemies via dramatic voiceover.
I got a chance to play the game earlier this summer and it didn’t disappoint. The air dashing mechanic really does something for the tempo, and with a game fully designed around it, I’m excited to see how it plays out.
