Kicking off Nintendo’s first-party announcements during today’s Nintendo Direct was some news on Luigi’s Mansion 3; specifically, the reveals of a few new themed floors and a new multiplayer “ScreamPark” mode.

Along with the Mezzanine, Castle MacFrights, and Garden Suites floors, the desert-themed Tomb Suites, nightclub-inspired The Dance Hall, and pirate-themed restaurant The Spectral Catch were also shown off (along with a few new bosses like a g-g-g-ghost shark!).

The bigger news, though, is the presence of a multiplayer party mode called “ScreamPark” in which up to eight players can go head-to-head in team-based gameplay on a single Nintendo Switch system.

A four-player “Team Luigi” is pit against a four-player “Team Gooigi,” with green, blue, pink, and yellow Luigis (or Gooigis) on both.

“See which team can defeat the most ghosts, collect the most coins by piloting floaties with the Poltergust G-00, and break the most targets,” the video says.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 launches worldwide for Nintendo Switch on October 31st, 2019.
