Brand-new footage from the upcoming Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons was shown off during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation.

The nearly-five-minute video, titled “Welcome to Island Life!” shows off various facets about the game revealed during the Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation earlier this year at E3 2019.

Villagers like Bill, Tammy, Butch, and Lily are shown off for the first time in the game, along with new hairstyles, fish, bugs, furniture, and more.

Gameplay elements like the NookPhone and vaulting pole are given official reveals, as well as the ability to dig up and replant trees (which requires snacking on fruit to, presumably, build up strength).

Buried items marked by stars and fossils are confirmed to return, and new things like tossing bait to catch fish, the “Dodo Airlines” dock at the beach, catching falling snowflakes, and new outdoor plant types like bundles of mushrooms are also shown off.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is set to launch worldwide on March 20th, 2020.
