This June saw players and teams from around the world coming together to face off in three Nintendo titles, and having had the pleasure of being there I can say that this year’s World Championships were something special (particularly for Splatoon 2 fans, easily the most hype in attendance). Now Nintendo is partnering with ELEAGUE to share some of what you might not have seen on stream or in person with a three episode series of behind-the-scenes coverage.

Set to premiere on August 25th, ELEAGUE Presents The Nintendo 2019 World Championships is the second time Nintendo and ELEAGUE have partnered after they gave the 2018 Smash Bros. Invitational a similar treatment. If you want to see or relive that time for yourself, be sure to tune in to CBS at 1 p.m. ET for the first episode. Followup episodes will air on September 7th and 14th at varying times.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
