Spirit Board events are still rolling into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the regular, and there’s something striking about the one currently speeding toward us. This weekend is all about Spirits that increase speed in-game. While high velocity is great if that’s what you’re after, the real prize here comes from the featured image for it:

Naturally Sonic’s featured, in his Super form no less, but look over his shoulder at who’s keeping pace. That’s right: it’s none other than Waluigi — eyeing the fastest thing alive, ready to show him why he’s the nastiest thing alive. Waluigi’s on a vehicle that’s no doubt been modified (no one cheats better than the man himself), reiterating that no one, nowhere, can escape.
The rest of the featured Spirits make plenty of sense here. Black Shadow’s an F-Zero pilot, Quick Man is Quick Man, and so on. As for Off the Hook? Well, nobody spits fire faster than Pearlie. You can add these to your collection (or reap the usual increased rewards) once this event goes live the evening of August 15th.
