“Poké Jobs” have been revealed as a new feature in upcoming Nintendo Switch games Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

“Poké Jobs” are small “expeditions” players can send their Pokémon on in order to gain Exp. Points, which can be accessed through Pokémon Centers.

“In the Galar region, it is very common for people and Pokémon to work together,” the official Pokémon website reads. “Many corporations and universities accept the help of Pokémon through what are known as Poké Jobs.”

Players can find available Poké Jobs through the “Rotomi” in Pokémon Centers and send Pokémon from their Boxes directly to any job they accept.

Certain Pokémon are suited for specific jobs, and players can even receive rare items in addition to gained experience for completing a long job or sending a lot of Pokémon.

“Rotomi,” the “new helper in Pokémon Centers with a ton of features,” is how players access Poké Jobs as well as their Boxes and a “Loto-ID.”

The “Loto-ID” seems to be a feature returning from past games, in which players can win prizes each day if their unique Pokémon Trainer ID number matches a randomly-drawn set of numbers, but this isn’t confirmed.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield launch worldwide on November 15th, 2019.
