While the masses are no doubt building and bounding their ways through Super Mario Maker 2 and its infinite levels, some players are refining the original to a point of near-perfection. You’d think how long it’s been around you couldn’t shave anymore (milli)seconds off, but here we are with a new world record any% run.

Runner Taven Webb (tavenwebb2002) has uploaded the achievement to YouTube where you can see expert use of jumps and glitches to take off .050 seconds from the previous world record, held by somewes. That minuscule amount of time makes all the difference though, and we congratulate Taven Webb for his new record.
