Another entry in 5pb.’s science adventure series is heading west thanks to Spike Chunsoft – Robotics;Notes Elite, the enhanced version of the 2012 visual novel which released in Japan for the Nintendo Switch and PS4 earlier this year. While the anime adaptation was translated into English by Funimation, this will mark the first time the game itself has been officially available in English.

Where Steins;Gate had a focus on time travel, Robotics;Notes has you see what happens when a bunch of highschoolers decide to build a robot.

Robotics;Notes Elite will launch in North America in 2020, but that’s not all. Its sequel, Robotics;Note DASH, has also been confirmed for localization by Spike Chunsoft. It’s looking bright for the future of visual novels on Switch!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
