Astral Chain developer PlatinumGames has said the game is meant to be the “first part of [a] trilogy,” and that no downloadable content is being planned for post-launch.

The information comes from an interview with game director Takahisa Taura by IGN Benelux, which was then translated from Dutch thanks to Nintendo news site Nintendo Everything.

“Currently, there are no plans to publish extra content for Astral Chain. That is different for the game’s story,” said Taura. “We’re making the game as a trilogy, and this is the first part of that trilogy. If this game sells well, we might see how the story of the series continues.”

Astral Chain is set to launch for Nintendo Switch worldwide on August 30th, 2019.
