When you’re at E3, it’s easy for things to blend into a black and gray mass of demo kiosks and first-person shooters. Cutting through that clutter like a beautifully colored knife was Cris Tales, a game that’s using its hand-drawn visuals and love for classic RPGs to stand out on Switch and bring a unique idea to life:

 

 
Already lauded in several respects, the game is looking to unite past, present, and future on a single screen. Even with just the taste of the above trailer and what little more I saw at E3, this one’s firmly on my radar for when it releases next year.
