Beyond the initial premise and some light world-building, much of our knowledge of Fire Emblem: Three Houses plot has been fairly sparse. Fortunately E3 has come along to not only divulge a dump of new info, but outright bamboozle us with some unexpected developments: namely, a timeskip in the plot that will show us the characters after a long stretch of time, something we haven’t seen in a Fire Emblem titles since the Japan-only Genealogy of the Holy War.

We get glimpses of the core cast in the future — a regal look for Edelgard, a bearded Claude, a Snake-Pliskin channelling Dimitri, and a Super Saiyan Byleth. There’s talk of betrayal, gods, deceit, and a whole lot of other melodramatic crypticness that just makes us excited to see where the plot takes us.
