After months of waiting for news about the planned DLC for Mortal Kombat 11, Ed Boon finally dropped a trailer with info on Kombat Pack 1.

The video shows gameplay for Shang Tsung, who was previously announced as the first DLC character. He is mocapped and voiced by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who portrayed the character in the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie. In the teaser, we get a look at his shapeshifting moveset, with the fighter turning into other forms, like Sub-Zero, and even some that aren’t in Mortal Kombat 11, like Rain and Reptile. We even get a nice throwback to his most famous line from the movie.

The trailer also teases Kombat Pack 1. Nightwolf, Sindel, and Todd McFarlane’s Spawn will be in the pack, with two more guest characters teased. A chainsaw can be heard on the screen teasing more guests, which lends credence to previous leaks.

SPOILERS FOR POSSIBLE DLC CHARACTERS

Several weeks ago, dataminers used the Switch version of the game to uncover what appears to be the entire cast of MK11 DLC fighters. The list appears legit after the Kombat Pack 1 trailer. The list includes all previously mentioned, as well as The Joker, Terminator, Fujin, Sheeva, and Ash from Evil Dead (which would explain the chainsaw). While these are not confirmed, it seems highly likely these are the rest of the cast.

END SPOILERS

Shang Tsung will release for Kombat Pack owners on June 18, along with classic skins for Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Noob Saibot, before going up for individual purchases one week later.
