It’s easy to lose track of all the indies that roll into the eShop, but when it comes to Marble It Up! that rolling is a little more literal. A physics based platformer where you control a marble through fantastic courses (and an extra fantastic soundtrack), Marble It Up! is a joy to play around with but a little on the short side. Today, the game’s getting its biggest update yet.

The aptly named Challenge Update! is available for free starting today. First up, a whole new chapter has been added, which means more courses to figure out and more opportunities to work on those clear times. While those are sure to be difficult, the namesake of the update is the other main feature: Weekly Challenges. These’ll put you into existing courses with new modifiers, such as power-ups that weren’t present in their standard form or new clear conditions. These will have their own leaderboards, and by participating you can earn new marbles to use as well.

Speaking of which, the update has brought in over 30 new marbles to collect in various ways. And if you like the idea of gathering orbs, the dev team has modified things on the game side to make adding new marbles in smaller batches possible. Neat!

Marble It Up! has gained some traction through a dedicated circles of players. There’s no better time to get on board, and if you’ve got a need for a simple to play, tough, and rewarding to master indie, you need look no further.
