After the less-than-glowing reactions to Sonic the Hedgehog’s appearance in his upcoming blockbuster debut, director Jeff Fowler announced that the studio would “fix” the design. While this came as a relief to its detractors, it also proved controversial as it’d mean more work for the effects teams. Thankfully, the team seems to have listened to those concerns, too, and announced a delay.

That’s Jeff Fowler announcing a delay for the movie from its original November release to February 14th, which is coincidentally Valentine’s Day, for anyone looking to plan a date. Sonic’s hand holding the sign is now wearing a glove, which could be hinting at one of the more controversial changes being remedied, too.
We’re sure to see more from the movie in a few months time.
