While Final Fantasy VII hitting a Nintendo console for the first time was an impressive milestone, the game unfortunately came with a few issues that marred the experience.

As noted by Resetera user Robin64, a black screen appeared during transitions between normal gameplay and FMV scenes, background music restarted from the beginning after every battle, and one flashback scene played incorrect music. Now, all of those issues have been remedied with a new patch, essentially bringing the game up-to-par with the PlayStation original.

If you’ve been waiting for these fixes before jumping into the Switch version, it sounds like now’s your chance!
