Sad news for all you wyvern-lovers out there — Rune Factory 4 Special on the Nintendo Switch will, in fact, not allow you to marry Ventuswill, the local god-dragon and matriarch of the town you lord over. This was announced in a Marvelous livestream earlier today, where the developers apologized for teasing previously that you could tie the knot with Ventuswill in the enhanced port, stating it was a “bug” that they considered adding into the Switch port, but ultimately decided against due to Ventuswill’s central role in the story.

Fret not, Ven fans — you will be getting some new content. Special adds a new mode called “Another Episode” where players will be able to see a “new side” of everybody’s favorite windy gal. Details are sparse, but given the nomenclature it can be assumed to be some kind of story content.

Finally, RF4S will also include “voice comments,” which are essentially little interviews with the game’s voice actors where they talk about their experiences voicing the characters several years ago as well as with the series in general. No clue on whether the English voice actors will get the same treatment at this time.

Rune Factory 4 Special comes to the West later this year.

But will they fix the core problem with the game that many of us had, that almost everything is a random event and to get the real ending for the game you need to literally sleep for almost 6 in game years after completing the story.
