Tetris 99 gets more content through paid DLC, Game Boy theme announced | Nintendo Wire

When Tetris 99 saw a surprise launch earlier this year, it became an instant, and addictive, hit, but it’s always been a little light on content. Thankfully, Nintendo has remedied that with the surprise launch of a $9.99 “Big Block DLC” pack, which includes various offline modes including CPU battles and Marathon.

Another offline mode is also planned for the pack, but it won’t be released until later in the year

That’s not all, though. To celebrate the Tetris franchise’s 35th anniversary, this month’s Maximus Cup will let you unlock a whole new theme that gives the game a Game Boy make-over. It’ll take place next weekend, starting May 17th.

You can grab the Big Block DLC via the eShop now.

Always excited to see something a little bit different, Tom is ready to report on games of all shapes and sizes, whether they be wonderful or weird (or, better yet, both.) Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
