Smash Ultimate has hosted plenty of Spirit Board events, and I’m sure you know the drill. Hop in, grab some Spirits based on a theme or game series, and rake in bonus rewards for your trouble. Nothing’s been problematic with these in the past and it’s even helped me nab a few wayward Spirits for the collection. But something seems sorely missing from the banner of the next event:

This is an event all about tails, with plenty of characters having them. But you know who isn’t front and center? The actual character named Tails. Arguably the best known player two in games this side of Luigi, Sonic’s two-tailed best friend just got robbed. By Dedenne. I’m sure he’ll be in the event, but that he doesn’t get to fly high as the marquee mark of the event is criminal.
You can look forward to grabbing these tails and the characters they’re attached to for yourself once the event begins Thursday night. I expect everyone to go that extra mile to make Miles Prower smile after this heinous slight, especially if you’ve got that electric blue taste of the new Sonic trailer still in your mouth by then.
