Story of Seasons is the original farming RPG series, having once gone under the name Harvest Moon in the West, and now it’s finally heading to Switch. Doraemon: Story of Seasons was announced for release in Japan this summer earlier this month, and now it’s been confirmed for release in North America and Europe this fall by Bandai Namco.

Like the last entry in the franchise, Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale, Doraemon: Story of Seasons is a crossover with a beloved Japanese franchise, namely the titular Doraemon. Chances are you’ve seen this blue cat before, as his original manga ran from 1969 through to 1996, while the series endures with anime adaptations, films, and video games.

In this Story of Seasons spinoff, you’ll play as Nobita Nobi, the human protagonist. Other characters from Doraemon will populate the town.

We’ll surely learn more about the game as we approach its Japanese release date in June. Until then, admire those gorgeous watercolor backgrounds!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
