Even though it comes out next week, we have only just gotten our first public look at Mortal Kombat 11 running on the Nintendo Switch.

Netherealm’s latest trailer shows some cutscenes and gameplay running on Nintendo’s console, marking the first time we’ve seen significant direct-feed video since the announcement. What we see, however, looks impressive. It appears to lose very little detail in the process, although the lighting and textures are a bit simpler. The gameplay looks smooth and, honestly, the idea of taking a current-gen game on the go with very little compromise is a great accomplishment.

Mortal Kombat 11 launches April 23.
